I know I'm late to the beauty bandwagon on this matte Seventeen's Define and Conquer Contour Kit. I'd all but talked myself out of getting it, but when Seventeen at Boots not only have money off but a huge display printed with "The best contour kit ever!" it's just so hard to ignore!

As a individual who's complexion rivals a pint of milk, I'm hesitant when trying any new bronzer. But this duo, although warm in tone, blends beautifully into the skin to give a soft summer glow that is perfect for both travel and for beginners. As is the handy 4 step card that shows you exactly where to highlight (high points of the face) and contour (low points of the face) if you're new to the contour scene. I personally like to use a flat contour brush to work the colour under my cheekbones and use a slightly fluffier brush to blend it along my temples and jaw line.

The only negative for me is the highlight shade that - due to my incredibly pale complexion - serves as more of a setting powder rather than a highlight. But if anything this makes it a little more handbag friendly in my eyes, as I can easily use it on the go to touch up or to set my under eye concealer. And in case you were wondering what I do use to highlight or 'strobe' I currently opt for the Makeup Revolution Highlighting Palette in the shade Golden Lights.

Overall I think this is a great portable kit that lasts a working day on the skin, even in the summer sunshine and it will work excellently on those with a little colour to their skin (Read: anyone not reaching to the palest foundation at the counter - like me!).
