Beauty | Seventeen Instant Glow Pink Bronze Shimmer Brick

After seeing many shimmer bricks on the market and convincing myself I did not need another highlighter/bronzer no matter how pretty it looked - I caved at Seventeen's Instant Glow Pink Bronze Shimmer Brick courtesy of a little coercing from one of my best friends and a buy one get one half price offer over at Boots. What's a girl to do?

This is the lighter of their newly released shimmery bricks and though less pretty in the pan is more suited to pale faces. The direction recommend a brush to sweep all four shades before applying, but 1) no one I know has a wide, thin brush to hand and 2) you get a much more subtle and even application if if you sweep the two lighter highlighting colours onto your cheek bones, followed by the two darker bronzing shades as a contour to add a bronzed and summery glow.

Normally I'd steer clear of the shimmery contour and opt for more matte shades to help hide my oily skin and leave a more natural finish; but in this heatwave I've found myself reaching for Seventeen Instant Glow Pink Bronze Shimmer Brick again and again. It's a fantastic little multi-use product that gives you the perfect sun kissed glow.

Beauty | Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipsticks by Kate

What can I say about the Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipsticks that hasn't already been said? They're absolutely fantastic for a high street brand: long lasting and moisturising they come in a range of colours with either a matte or sheer finish and they smell delightful. I have four shades from the collection and adore each and every single one of them. If you're looking for a good quality lipstick that won't break the bank then Rimmel's Lasting Finish Lipsticks are definitely the lipstick for you.

01 - Ah, my first love. I bought this  shortly after these little guys launched and wore it pretty much every day for a month straight I loved it so much. It's a sheer and glamorous deep red that would make any Marylin Monroe fanatic proud.

107 - Worth the hype? This was the shade that every beauty blogger on every twitter chat recommended for so long. Although it's a similar shade to it's older brother 01 from the original collection, it draws on slightly purple undertones and has a sleek and velvety matte finish that doesn't dry out your lips.

110 - Not for the faint of heart, this bright and popping shade of red has an undertone of vibrant coral making it the perfect way to pull off a red lip this summer.

03 - The perfect high street nude. With its pinky undertones you could wear this lipstick as an everyday look or pair it with the perfect dark smokey eye.

Fashion | Little Black Dress Charity Shop Haul

There's few things I love in this world, more than a secondhand haul - and you guys really seem to enjoy watching them too! I got out of my meeting early. I had some time to kill. I found a single charity shop. And this was the result...

Fragrance | Di Palomo Wild Fig & Grape EDP

Di Palomo Wild Fig & Grape EDP*:
Top notes: Grape & Gardenia
Middle notes: Fig, Orange Blossom & Mimosa
Base notes: Sandalwood, Amber & Vanilla

At £25 for 50ml, Di Palomo's Wild Fig & Grape EDP* falls nicely into the affordable treat and gift giving bracket. The fragrance is mature, sweet and rich, it's definitely a sexy night time scent that lasts a good half a day in the summer heat. In the bottle it's quite strong compared to the lingering scent it leaves on the skin, and you do catch quite a few of the softer notes whilst you're going about your day. The packaging is fabulous in the way of gift-giving as it comes in a sturdy box decorated to match the label. And, whilst the bottle is less dressy than most, it's refreshing to have a fragrance on my dresser that's effortlessly elegant and comes with a quaint little paper leaf attached to the lid.

I will hold my hands up and say that I'd never heard of Di Palomo before I already knew this little guy was on it's way. It was not until the following week when I was in Wales I stumbled upon an entire counter of the and sat smelling and secretly hoping I had made the right choice of fragrance. Di Palomo is a bath and body brand that's inspired by Italy and made right here in the UK. They have an entire range of products based around the Wild Fig & Grape scent, I personally can't wait to pair my EDP* with the matching Body Butter!

Also available Orange Blossom with Wild Honey & Olive, White Grape with Aloe and Tuscan Rose. Which one's your favourite scent?
