Skincare | Steamcream 'Vanity' Tin

If we're brutally honest, I'm sure no one likes their 37 bottle morning and night skincare regime. I can't wait for the day that the miracle product arrives that moisturises and helps breakouts and improves skin texture and hydration in a heartbeat. But realistically? That's not going to happen anytime soon...

My skin troubles generally stem from one thing: hormones, which means that they are irreparably a part of my life a little can be done in the way of prevention. However there are a number of skincare soothers, such as Steamcream*, that seem to do the trick at calming them down and little by little fading them as the days go by.

This little tin of goodness reminds me a lot of Lush's Dream Cream in scent, texture and performance. Though Lush's Dream Cream is certainly cheaper - at £11.50/240g price tag vs. Steamcream's £12.95/75g - it lacks the beautifully designed tin - the above being the Vanity* design that launched earlier this year - and unique steam-based, no nonsense manufacturing process.

I used my tin* as an all-in-one moisturiser whilst on holiday and, whilst it's not the most moisturising cream I have ever tried I did seems to notice a difference in the texture and hydration of my skin as well as in the reduction of acne-related inflammation. Which really left me in a pickle of just how to classify it! Yes, it's a great all round product with a reasonable price tag, but I'd opt to use it paired with something more nourishing if you have dry skin or in the midst of the summer heat and winter chill.

Have you tried Steamcream before? What's your favourite tin?
