Blogging | Leeds May Meet

I have been looking forward to this meet for SO LONG. Hayley's Leeds Meet last year was my first dip into the blogging pool and I haven't been able to get enough since, and this year she really outdid herself... After hopping off the train I met up with this lovely lot and ran to Tesco to buy the most home made muffins you ever did see (what? I had exams okay, cake is better than no cake!) and headed off to the venue.

Firstly we spoke to the innovative team behind the Cohorted website - quite possibly because they had the prettiest cupcakes and got the low down about how they work their magic. If you don't know what Cohorted is then you must have been hiding under a rock far away from the world of retail shopping. The concept revolves around one simple thing: buying in bulk saves money - and it really does too with their recent Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette 'cohort' selling for under £20 - sign me up! They're such a lovely bunch of people, it was nice to get to know the names and faces behind the brand.

And then it was off to ESPA, because it smelt so, freaking, good. I've never been one for aromatherapy but ESPA completely changed my tune. We chose our products based on their scent and my were they calming, controversially one of my tastes matched to oily skin and the other to dry skin which actually fits my skin rather well. I walked away away with so many goodies that I can't wait to review once I have my bathtub in sight! You can find these guys in the Leeds Branch of Harvey Nichols and I can't wait to go back for my skin test that (rather ominously) sees more that the eye can see. Actually, now I'm more concerned than anything...

Of course we had to stop off at the Lush stand to make our very own Butterball bath bomb by attempting to trap soft snow in a plastic container which was weird, messy and hard - kudos to the Lush elves! I daren't yet release mine from it's plastic casing in case I get covered again!

You can see the Lush goody bag featured above and it came just in time for beach weather I might add. Now all I need is a nice long pamper session...

We also had a nice long natter about the Leeds branch of the Lush Spa which is actually moving to accommodate more treatment rooms that myself and Alex will shortly be filling - right?

Last but not least is a brand I hadn't heard of: Eve Taylor who - random fact - actually pierced Lady Di's ears. It's a family run company and the prices are quite reasonable. You can see me testing out their face brush that retails for £8.99 that I might just have to invest in because, combined with their cleansing cream it left my hand feeling so silky smooth and will work wonders when removing my makeup. Expect a brand review very soon!

Overall the day was a much needed reprieve from exams and the aromatherapy left me feeling incredibly relaxed which, if you know me, is a rare event! In fact the only part of me that didn't enjoy it was my arms! And thanks to Hayley's goody bags - I won't be needing the gym for about a week! Thank you so very much for inviting me, you did yourself and the blogging community proud!
