Beauty | DIY Lush Inspired Facemask

A few weeks ago at the #MHBloggersBreakfast the lovely people at Lush taught us how to make our very own Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask face mask using all sorts of complicated ingredients such as glycerine. I personally have been loving my face mask and how fresh and soft it makes my face feel (not to mention how yummy it smells) and was devistated when I ran out!

So I've devised my very own Lush-inspired facemask that I can use at home - it's cheap, quick and easy and you can always make a batch to give away at a sleepover or for friends - plus it's entirely edible (and tasty too!) - yep, that's right you can actually eat it too! Without further ado here's how to make you very own Lush-inspired face mask at home:

What you'll need:
Greek Yoghurt
Brown Sugar (if you want an added exfoliant)
A fork
A small bowl to store it in

Why you need it:
The Greek Yogurt will leave your skin feeling beautifully soft and nourished, whilst the Brown Sugar will slough off any dead skin cells when massaged in in application. Blueberries are packed with antioxidants which protect your skin from nasty free radical and honey has been shown to work wonders on problematic skin for years!

This will differ by you skin type and how many 'portions' you are making - so just go with whatever seems to work for you!

1) Take a handful of blueberries and mash up with a fork (or your hands!) until nice and juicy.
2) Add about half a cup full of yogurt and stir followed by 2tbsp of honey.
3) Next add your brown sugar if you want to add an exfoliant. You want to add enough so the mixture looks 'gritty' and you'll be able to get an even coverage on your skin.

It's literally as easy as 1-2-3. Enjoy! Massage in well, leave for 5-10 minutes and rinse. Make sure to store the leftovers in the fridge - the mask keeps for a matter of days so enjoy it whilst you can!
