Q&A Featuring Mummy and the Makeup

I recently tweeted if anyone wanted to do any little collaboration project and lots of you were quick to reply! Here's my Q&A tag with the lovely Heather from Mummy and the Makeup who's nearly had as many different colour of hair as I have! You can read her answers to the tag over on her blog, here.

1. Introduce yourself in 100 words?
Well hello there, if you're a regular reader you'll already know that I'm Charley. I'm a nineteen (nearly 20, eek!) psychology student who loves to blog about all things beauty, fashion and DIY related. I spend more time than I probably should at car boots and charity shops. I’m a tremendous bookworm and in my spare time collect old 35mm film cameras. I have a very fat cat called Tikey whom I love to bits. I’ve been blogging for just under 2 months now and never, want to stop. I like to ramble on a lot (as you’ve probably noticed). In case you were curious, that's 100 words exactly.

2. Tell an most interesting fact or story about yourself.
I have heterochromia which is a terribly fancy term for having two different coloured eyes, you can see it if you look closely on some of my Instagram pictures. My boyfriend tells me he "likes one eye but is unsure about the other" it's a pain when it comes to selecting eyeshadow to compliment my eye colour!

3. When did you first start using makeup?
I first started using make up when I was probably about four, I would sit there and go through this old hat box of my Mum's where she stored all her cosmetics. It was a pretty messy situation. I would have her heels on and would be applying lipstick to my cheeks. I started wearing a little concealer and mascara to school when I was about fourteen and went from there, though it's always been an obsession of mine.

4. Have you ever dyed your hair, if so what colour(s)?
I've been dying my hair since I was fourteen after I begged and begged and begged my Mum some more, it's mostly been varying shade of red since then but at secondary school and sixth form I had to keep it pretty tame thanks to the school rules. Since then it's been ginger, blue and pink this year, including a little ombre (thank you university and your lax rules!). I'm actually brunette at the moment for the first time in years! Sadly I don't have pictures of them all but here's what was on my Instagram.

Red & Ombre (which I really miss!) | Red with Purple Dip Dye

5. Do you have any piercings?
I have three piercings in each ear. I got my first when I was ten and then my second two I did myself (I DO NOT IN ANY WAY RECOMMEND THIS because a) it hurts and b) it's actually really dangerous if it gets infected and your ear could fall off) earlier in the year. It's great because I now don't have to choose between earrings but finding sets that go together is a little bit of a pain so I mostly stick to my trusty studs.

6. What is your skincare routine?
My skin care routine changes a lot at the minute I cleanse my face both in the morning and at using either Clearasil's Perfectawash or Anatomical's The Hottie Tottie Is Never Spotty, during the daytime I use Nivea's Express Hydration Primer.

7. What has been your summer must have beauty product?
I don't actually think I have a summer must have for this year. It's really bizarre, usually I have several. Don't get me wrong, I have found some amazing products - I just can't choose one I love above all others. However I am loving my Andrew Barton Paddle Brush (review up next week!) and my Enrapture Totem Styler I received at the Leeds Meet at the end of August.

8. What are you most excited about for autumn?
I have a list. You ready? Beanies, oversized jumpers, my beloved combat boots, Costa & Starbucks, Whittard's white hot chocolates with little marshmallows, when the leaves fall off the trees, Yankee Candle's Salted Caramel - in fact, candles in general, cinnamon, deep red and wine lipstick, winged eyeliner. In fact why don't you go read my Autumn Wishlist?

9. What is your go to nail polish?
I don't really have a go to nail polish, I like to change it up a lot. But for the minute I am loving Rimmel's 60 Second Nail Polish in the shade 510 Euphoria, it's a gorgeous rose gold colour at a very affordable price. I'd highly recommend it! It's what I currently have on my hurridly painted nails before I ran out the door last night. If I have the time I love to get a little creative.

10. What is your go to blogging outfit?
My go to blogging outfit is either PJ bottoms or tracksuit bottoms, something comfy, warm and slouchy.
